Two-time defending champion UEL suffered an early exit from the postseason, losing 15-14 to Whitney Brothers Oil before being eliminated by Ristorante Via Alto.
The students -- composed of women professionals currently completing masters degrees in education from BUiD -- were in East London for the first time to learn more about the role of UEL as a major East London university along with the culture and history of the East End and the forthcoming London 2012 Games.
There will be performances by the Loyalist Fife and Drum Corps and a wreath laying ceremony in the late afternoon at the UEL Monument and Cemetery in the Park.
