Earthquake strong-motion records were used that agreed with Magnitude-distance combinations obtained from disaggregation of the uniform hazard response spectra for short and long period regions of the UHRS. The UHRS has been the source of data for several studies that have examined hospital operating characteristics (Sear 1991, 1992), hospital financial performance (Gapenski, Vogel & Langland-Orban 1993), and hospital strategic orientation (Lamont, Marlin & Hoffman 1993). |
