Bishop Ingham was unable to make his presentation following a decision by the UNCHR to suspend its 60th and final session after only three hours of what was scheduled to have been a six-week session. Kofi Annan, and the European Union, have been ignored by the UNCHR, thereby weakening condemnation of the Sudanese government's atrocities. During the course of the year, the dynamic trajectory of the Korean women's efforts included the Korean Council's presentations on the comfort women issue to UNCHR meetings in Geneva as well as diligent networking with women's organizations in afflicted Asian nations to build solidarity. |
