Margaret Memorial Hospital and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center System (UPMCS) announced the merger of the two organizations after the board of directors of the UPMCS ratified and approved the agreement at its meeting yesterday (March 13). The organization plans to utilize these solutions to integrate approximately four million patient records across 15 hospitals (including its psychiatric and rehab facilities); its physician practice organizations and satellites (including medical offices); its home-care operations and extended-care facilities; and the UPMCS Health Plan. |
