This week's violation, coming on the heels of Iran's opening of a uranium conversion facility last August, leaves those hopes in tatters.
Mohammad Saidi, deputy head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organisation, said Aug 10 the seals at the uranium conversion facility near Isfahan were removed after the atomic energy agency gave its go-ahead, the ISNA news agency reported.
Diplomats in Vienna were on July 7 quoted as saying Iran had asked the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to let it temporarily break UN seals from a component at the uranium conversion facility (UCF) in Isfahan to conduct a test on the component.
