Cyberonics' vagus nerve stimulation, or VNS, device for treatment- resistant depression, or TRD, is the first implantable device approved in the United States for treatment of depression. In keeping with world findings, this study found half the patients had a greater than 50% reduction and/or abolition of major seizure time, reinforcing that VNS is a safe and effective treatment, Ms Grimmer said. VNS had said in the three previous election years that the gay vote composed between 4% and 5% of the electorate and that gays cast ballots for Democrats at a clip of between 60% and 70%. |
