When a company chooses not to consolidate a variable interest entity for which it is a primary beneficiary, the accountant who issues a report for the company has two reporting choices.
Certain of the interpretation's disclosure requirements affect all financial statements issued after January 31 regardless of when the variable interest entity was established.
