Throughout the month of August, many VITAS programs are supporting local Spirit of '45 activities by volunteering at several Major League Baseball games that are recognizing Spirit of '45 WWII veterans; coordinating Spirit of '45 celebrations at senior and assisted living communities and state veterans' homes; and participating at wreath-laying ceremonies and in other activities organized by local and national WWII groups.
