Voluntary Service Overseas Canada, Institute on Governance: Strengthening communities rights and empowerment, Bangladesh: to improve the lives of some of the most disadvantaged people in one of the poorest countries in the world, by building the capacity of local communities to participate in decision-making and ensure that poor people's voices inform and influence government policy at national and local levels.
He became a trainer for Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO), preparing young people who were offering their skills--from teaching to building--to help in other countries.
Approved as an outreach program by General Synod in 1986, VIM enables people of different ages, backgrounds, skills and professions to offer themselves for voluntary service overseas for two years.
