These provisions apply to qualified Hurricane Rita individuals and qualified Hurricane Wilma individuals-people whose principal residence on September 23, 2005, was located in a disaster area and who sustained economic loss due to the hurricanes. Hurricanes Dennis, Katrina, Ophelia, Rita and Wilma caused about $52. In 2005, 14 hurricanes formed, beating the previous record of 12 in 1969, and the most hurricanes reaching Category 5 status with three: Katrina, Rita and Wilma (previous record was two in 1960 and 1961). |
