Jackson first contracted with In-Pipe in 2003, using its wastewater treatment technology to control odors; reduce fats, oil & grease in the collection system; and reduce sludge at the two million gallons a day (MGD) Trahon WWTP. The Eastside WWTP will have met all settlement requirements soon, and the Westside plant will meet the requirements once it is expanded in 2008. Faster customer growth than projected has necessitated hiring more teams to connect customers and expanding two wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), North Port and Southport, that will be decommissioned after a new Glades WWTP is built. |
