TQC has announced that its TQC WG2 wet film thickness gauge has been enhanced to meet the requirements of the new IMO PSPC (Performance Standard for Protective Coatings) standard.
The wet film thickness for optical films is usually less than 5 [micro]m whereas dry film thickness may be as thin as a few hundred nanometers.
At 77[degrees]F and 50% relative humidity, the coating dries to the touch in two hours and can be recoated in only eight hours when applied at the specified seven mils wet film thickness.
