Sydney, Australia, Nov 16, 2006 - (JCN Newswire) - Apollo Life Sciences Ltd (ASX: AOP) announced today that initial studies showed two of its human proteins outperform competitor proteins in stimulating faster growth in numbers of blood-producing stem cells, which are mainly used to generate white blood cells for chemotherapy patients. A protein recently isolated from white blood cells could offer a new way to repair nerve cells damaged by injury or disease. ACTIVITY: Students can make blood models to show how white blood cells work. |
