In October this year, Horizon and RES entered into an agreement to construct the 229 MW Wild Horse wind power project near Ellensburg, Washington.
Puget Sound Energy, the utility subsidiary of Puget Energy (NYSE:PSD), today completed the acquisition of the development rights to the Wild Horse Wind Power Project from Horizon Wind Energy, formerly Zilkha Renewable Energy.
The Hopkins Ridge acquisition, along with PSE's letter of intent to purchase the proposed 230-MW Wild Horse Wind Power Project in Washington state's Kittitas County, is part of the utility's strategic plan to diversify its supply portfolio by adding secure low-cost resources for its growing customer base.
