The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for north-central and northeastern New Mexico through Wednesday late afternoon as the storm that formed over California moved across Arizona and into New Mexico.
Winter storm warnings remained in effect across much of the south, while the northeastern states of New England were warned of snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches (10 to 20 centimeters) in the Mid-Atlantic region, the National Weather Service said late Sunday.
