Now in their 60s, they were just teenagers when they were whisked off to the Philippines for the 10th World Scout Jamboree back in July 1959.
MY NAME is John Harris and in 1959 I and 30 other 14 to 17-year-old Scouts from Birmingham and the surrounding areas were selected to form 'A' troop as part of the 112 Scout contingent from the UK to attend the 10th World Scout Jamboree in the Philippines.
