Here he offers a quantitative, multivariate analysis of data from the 2008 World Values Survey on political and social values of Muslim communities in over 80 countries around the world.
The researchers used previously calculated estimates of genetic differences, and the World Values Survey (whose questions are likely to be heavily influenced by culture in a large number of countries) as a source of data to compute the cultural differentiation between the same neighbouring groups.
This paper attempts to address this gap in the literature by examining data from the World Values Survey (WVS) which includes a large number of countries from both Eastern Europe and the FSU.
