It is difficult to collect accurate x-ray powder diffraction data to atomic resolution for the majority of molecular organic compounds, due to a combination of the Lorentz-polarisation factor and form-factor fall-off, compounded by a lack of strongly scattering atoms in the compounds.
These services include: conventional analyses as well as X-ray powder diffraction, dynamic light scattering, characterization, stability, and formulation studies.
With structure solution and refinement from x-ray powder diffraction data, we stress the importance of a variable counting scheme that puts substantially increased weight on the high-angle reflections and explain why over-counting low-angle reflections can be deleterious to obtaining accurate structural parameters.
