This April former Yokohama Commodity Exchange merged with the Tokyo Grain Exchange, while the Fukuoka Futures Exchange is negotiating a similar deal with the Kansai Commodities Exchange.
In March, the Osaka Mercantile Exchange asked the Central Japan Commodity Exchange to merge with it, while in April the Tokyo Grain Exchange took over the Yokohama Commodity Exchange.
