Furnaces usually have a single sensor for the internal temperature in each
control zone. Hence, the models assume that temperature in each zone is homogeneous.
Occupancy sensors are typically assigned to
control zones to comply with the minimum requirements of the local energy code.
David Lodge, Head of West Yorkshire Trading Standards, said "The implementation of these 'Cold Calling
Control Zones' means people won't be hassled on their own doorstep to buy goods and services they just don't want, but not only this; a number of criminals do pose as doorstep sales people and bogus utility company officials and these zones help to reduce the opportunity for them to undertake this type of activity."
Chelninskii forest district (forest and steppe zone of 9539 hectares, the forest and steppe region of the European part of the Russian Federation) and the landscape zone of the city park "Grenada" were chosen as conventional
control zones (CCZ).
