The distribution of the average values of the tangent of the dielectric loss angle of the main insulation of high-voltage bushings, according to the levels of the influencing factors, is shown in Fig.
Quite interesting is the fact that according to the results of the analysis, the mutual influence of the duration of operation and load on the values of the tangent of the dielectric loss angle ([F.sub.AB]>[F.sub.cr]) was established.
where C' and tan[delta]' are the capacitance and the tangent of the dielectric loss angle between the electrodes with the specimen, respectively; C" and tan[delta]" are the capacitance and the tangent of dielectric loss angle of the cable connecting the Q-meter and specimen holder capacitor, respectively; [C".sub.1], [Q'.sub.1] and [C'.sub.2], [Q'.sub.2] are the capacitance and the Q-factor respectively without and with the specimen; [C".sub.1], [Q".sub.1] and [C".sub.2], [Q".sub.2] are the capacitance and the Q-factor respectively without and with the cable connecting the Q-meter and specimen holder capacitor; [C.sub.0] is the geometrical capacitance of the cable specimen; f is the measuring frequency, ranging from 70 kHz to 3 MHz.
The tangent of the dielectric loss angle determines the losses for electrical conductivity and polarization
The frequency dependence of the capacitance and tangent of the dielectric loss angle allows one to judge the state of the thermosetting insulation system of TEM.
There is a positive correlation, both for partial capacitance and for the tangent of the dielectric loss angle (Table 1).
For the tangent of the dielectric loss angle, the more pronounced frequency dependence [r.sub.tg[delta]] is characteristic: the pair correlation coefficient has large values at the frequency 1 kHz and 10 kHz, which is associated with both the polarization processes and the electrical conductivity in the insulation.
