Yesterday a jury found Mr
Gaut's neighbour David Osborne, 51, not guilty of murder or manslaughter after he was accused of taking part in the killing.
Darran Evesham, 47, who is accused of perverting the course of justice, is accused of helping them try to dispose of evidence and helping carry Mr
Gaut's body back to his own flat.
A jury heard how it is alleged friends David Osbourne, 51, Ieuan Harley, 23, and Darran Evesham, 47, plotted to kill
Gaut when they discovered his grisly crime online.
Neighbours said
Gaut had only been living in New Tredegar for six weeks.
During the trial Osborne claimed Harley was responsible for killing Mr
Gaut in his flat while he was in the kitchen and said he saw his co-accused holding a knife over Mr
Gaut's dead body when he came out.
Osborne had told the court he witnessed Harley stabbing neighbour Mr
Gaut to death in his living room, but the prosecution alleges he also took part in the planned killing.
