Gifts In Kind International, a leading charitable organization in the product-giving field, is partnering with NLC to lend a hand to Denver-based nonprofits as a community service project.
With the project taking place at the conference site, the Colorado Convention Center, attendees of the conference will be able to help sort and organize products donated through Gifts In Kind International from businesses and retail stores throughout the city and beyond.
Gifts In Kind International began collecting donations from local donors last week for the service project.
"Gifts In Kind International is thrilled to partner with the National League of Cities to organize a service project that will benefit the Denver community and allow conference participants to give back," said Gifts In Kind International President and CEO Cindy Hallberlin.
Gifts In Kind International (GIKI) isn't a bit surprised that its in-kind contributions soared $257.7 million in fiscal year 2000 -- moving the organization nine slots up the NPT 100 ladder to 19.
"Gifts In Kind International actually is an umbrella organization that generates products to distribute through its affiliated Gifts In-Kind programs," Corrigan said.
Charity organizations Gifts In Kind International and The Nonprofit Times recently conducted a nationwide survey of 600 charity nonprofit organizations to gauge the state of Y2K preparedness within the sector.
