The work of the Health Metrics Network, with its by-line 'Better Information Better Decisions Better Health', (3) is encouraging although they have not quite got down to the grassroots level yet.
The topic this year was Health Information and the conference was co-sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Health Metrics Network (HMN).
This work was only possible thanks to the support of the Health Metrics Network (HMN), a global partnership established in 2005, with the goal of strengthening country health information systems and improving data availability, quality and use.
In the year 2009 I had the opportunity to participate in the Assessment of the Vital Registration System conducted by the University of Queensland in collaboration with Health Metrics Network at the WHO.
He provided an excellent analysis of the current HIS weaknesses and the results from its recent Health Metrics Network assessment.
