Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve (KWR), Langtang National Park (LNP), Parsa Wildlife Reserve (PWR), Rara National Park (RNP), Shivapuri-Nagarjun National Park (SNNP), Shey Pokshundo National Park (SPNP), and Suklaphata Wildlife Reserve (SWR).
Over 880 species of birds are found in Nepal with almost 520 or more found in the
Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, a protected area in eastern Nepal.
The elephant came from
Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, a habitat for wild animals from water buffalo to rare species of birds.

Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve (KTWR), Jagdishpur Reservoir in Kapilvastu and Bishazari Lake in Chitwan - that are listed in Ramsar Sites are under increasing threat.
Meanwhile, the habitat of
Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve (KTWR) that hosts over 450 bird species, is in critical condition due to lack of proper plans and programmes.
