The research was carried out by the Indian Institute of Public Health and is based on the data collected from the registry institutions and the
National Sample Survey Organisation (NSSO), a statement released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said.
The fire-fighting attempt by the duo followed reports that the government withheld the
National Sample Survey Organisation's (NSSO) first 'Annual Survey on Employment and Unemployment' for the year 2017-18, an issue on which two external members -- acting chairman P C Mohanan and J V Meenakshi -- resigned.
The prices are collected by the government from selected towns by the Field Operations Division of
National Sample Survey Organisation (NSSO) and from selected villages by the Department of Posts.
"We have the finest artists and carpenters in Rajasthan; but I am not sure those were even counted in our 'skilled population' census by the
National Sample Survey Organisation or NSSO," he said.

Mrutyunjay added, "It (survey) covered 80 of the 88 regions as classified by the
National Sample Survey Organisation under the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation.
