Symmetrical Digital Subscriber Line (
SDSL) is the latest in broadband technology and enables high-speed digital information with equal bandwidth to travel in both directions.
Craig Rowland, managing director, Business at BT Retail, said: 'Back in January we promised to extend the availability of our
SDSL retail product if there proved to be commercial demand.
While service providers are now gearing up for massive
SDSL deployment, IPCentrex(TM) hosted telephony solution may well become the killer application to promote high-bandwidth/high-quality network access into the SME market.
G.shdsl is the newest member of the
SDSL family, the industry's preferred business-class DSL service because it offers symmetrical data rates high enough to support capabilities such as multi-channel voice, Web hosting, video teleconferencing and e-mail servers.
RHK's new report also examines the
SDSL (symmetrical digital subscriber line) market and finds that the
SDSL market will grow, but at a slower rate than ADSL.
The architecture is further described as offering highly integrated DSL cards that can support ADSL, G.lite,
SDSL and VDSL proto cols.

SDSL), Asymmetric DSL (ADSL), Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM), wireless, and cable, are also available.
G4 Communications ADSL,
SDSL, T1, DS3, OC3 Statewide
Voice and data solution provider Spitfire has launched DualStream
SDSL to provide customers with a resilient DSL broadband connection.
Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line (
SDSL) offers a different type of broadband experience to asymmetrical broadband (ADSL), which is now almost universally available throughout the UK.
The new product is aimed at smaller enterprises and branch offices that need a remote access solution, it can be operated via the two integrated 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet interfaces to ADSL and
SDSL lines as well as within a network.
