At both the Texas Military Forces Museum and the Admiral Nimitz Museum he has organized and conducted hundreds of living history programs for the general public.
In September of 2007, the Texas Military Forces, home of the current 36th Infantry Division, was honored to recognize the service of the 18 Choctaw code talkers with "Lone Star Medals of Valor." These medals were awarded to the descendant family members of the code talkers during the opening ceremony for a permanent museum exhibit that honors the Choctaw code talkers of WW I.
While the word doctrine is always present in the military, the Texas Military Forces prefers to "evolve practice" with JIIM partners through an ever-shifting balance between science and art rather than stubbornly adhering to doctrine that either does not really exist or is quickly left behind due to changing circumstances presented by disasters and the requirements of local civilian authorities.
