In a follow-up essay to "Welcome to Holland," Cathy Anthony indicates in "Celebrating Holland--I'm Home," (www.oafccd.com/lanark/poems/holland3.ht ml) some 10 years later, that Holland is not such a bad place and that it has its own beauty, including features such as tulips and its unique culture.
