It proposes three order encoding methods and algorithms for translating ordered
XPath expressions into SQL using these encoding methods.
CROSS APPLY is used to "shred" the results of the
XPath path expression //AW:tool, so that the different tool elements from the XML document in a single row are returned in individual rows of the result set.
So we're going to see them targeting new areas, so we're going to have
XPath Injection and those kinds of things that are going to be popular in 2015.
This matter allows the usage of a single data model and of a single querying language of data (
XPath) in the client application and on the persistence server.
It is also technically challenging to specify the mappings because different representations use different technologies to refer to fields (that is, SQL queries,
Xpath, XSLT, or JSONPath) and then one needs to specify how the values in these fields map to classes and properties in an ontology.
A subset of
XPath, called FastXPath, is proposed to resist the malicious elements that attackers inject into the SOAP message structure [27].
The remaining chapters focus on specific topics, including regular expressions,
XPath, .NET string formatting and classes, SMI, COM objects, and PowerShell verbs.
