Table 4 and Figure 14 show the relationship of the
compressed file size and the data window/block size, and Table 5 and Figure 15 show the relationship of the compression/ decompression time and the data window/block size.
The command then uses Express Server to seamlessly disseminate the
compressed files to end users and first responders.
Also in Meter Reading, there are too many objects (digits) in the frames (around 12-15) due to which the
compressed file size of ROI coding is larger than that of change coding which must be observed in Table II.
In all the cases getting greater compression rates will be very beneficial even in searching time if we search in the
compressed file version.
If you select a small file, that option will compress it and attach the
compressed file to a new e-mail message.
A
compressed file, such as .zip, by itself is not dangerous, but it may contain an executable file, which .carries a virus.
* Lossless Compression: A file is compressed in such a way that the original file can be perfectly recovered from the
compressed file. The Morse code of telegraphy provides a classic example: by sending short patterns (dots and dashes) for frequent letters, and long patterns for rare letters, fewer bits are needed on the average than with the standard computer representation (ASCII,) which assigns the same number of bits to all letters.
Moreover, they come in
compressed file formats which can be easily stored and/or transferred on storage media (cd-roms, Video-cd's, DVD's).
If pointers take up fewer bits than a corresponding ASCII character string, then the
compressed file will be smaller than the original file.
An additional precaution some people will take is to compress attachments and add password protection to the
compressed file. You can use WinZip to compress and uncompress files with or without passwords.
