When the temperature of the air returning to the desiccant bed exceeds 140-150[degrees] F the dryer will not achieve a -40[degrees] F/C dew point. If the return air temperature is exceeding this level, then there is too much process air or too high a processing temperature.
In addition, the dew point temperature and relative humidity in the time-lag1 model and the dew point temperature in the time-lag2 model did not meet the criteria and thus were omitted from the final model.
The CDT dryers can be equipped with an optional by-pass to meet the demands of seasonal variations of dew point requirements above zero in summer and below zero in winter.
This temperature at which the air moisture saturates is called the dew point temperature.
From NIST REFPROP, R-407A dew point at 252 psia (1737 kPa): 108[degrees]F (42[degrees]C)
Two of the simple concepts that go into the air-drying process are airflow volume and the dew point of the airflow.
For the conditioning of natural gas streams, Osorb has demonstrated the ability to capture heavier hydrocarbon components, thus lowering the dew point caused by those components as well as reducing the Wobbe Index, or heating value, of the stream.
* The lower the dew point of the air supplied, the quicker the drying time.
