The LD analysis of five SNPs revealed no linkage disequilibrium in either controls or patient subjects.
A novel multi-locus measure of linkage disequilibrium and its use to estimate past effective population size.

Results from linkage disequilibrium (LD) analysis in the study population (combining data from the case group and the control group, n = 289) showed that each SNP showed strong linkage disequilibrium with the HLA-B* 58:01 allele with D' values of more than 0.90 and [r.sup.2] values of more than 0.8 (Table 4).
In our study, the LD and haplotype analyses indicated the presence of strong linkages among APOB rs2163204, rs1042034, and rs676210, and strong linkage disequilibrium was observed between rs1042034 and rs676210.
Linkage disequilibrium (LD) of genetic variants revealed the possible genetic recombinations (D') between the SNPs within loci.
Note: Numbers represent P-values (P<0.05) are indicated with # Table 2--Estimation of linkage disequilibrium between the 3 SNPs.
There was evidence for additional potentially independent interaction signals in this locus, as variants with varying MAFs and differing linkage disequilibrium (LD) values also showed significant interactions with cumulative [PM.sub.10] on annual [FEF.sub.25-75%] decline (e.g., rs11643197: MAF, 13.4%, [p.sub.int] = 6.87 x [10.sup.-8], LD with the CDH13 top hit rs2325934 [r.sup.2] = 0.585 and D' = 1) (Figure 2; see also Supplemental Material, Figure S1).
