TABLE 1: SUMMARY OF CASE REPORTS FOR SCHWANNOMA OF BUCCAL

The three sections of the small intestine were each rinsed gently with sterile saline to clean out the contents, then the intestinal
mucosa from each segment was carefully scraped off with a glass microscope slide, and snap-frozen in liquid [N.sub.2] for the further analysis.
Biopsy examination revealed massive deposition of xanthoma cells within the rectal
mucosa (Figure 3), leading to the diagnosis of rectal xanthoma.
The disease cases causing extensive changes in the gastric
mucosa, such as liver cirrhosis, were excluded.

Normal architecture of gastrointestinal tract
mucosa in hematoxylin and eosin stain:
Oral cavity was examined after retracting the tongue left side and tear in buccal
mucosa was identified which had direct communication with the swelling.
The patients were also subjected to biopsies to define the metaplastic changes of the gastric
mucosa and had their degree of bacterial contamination evaluated via quantitative methods.
