In addition, considering the time-varying characteristics of the DCN traffic, the spectrum resources can be shared time-dependently by two neighboring
optical channels at different time slots as that described in [16].
Considering the pros and cons of both electronic and optical NoCs, in this paper we propose a novel energy-efficient Hybrid Optical-Electronic NoC named HEON, which consists of an electronic buffer-bypassed mesh subnet-work and some bus-based
optical channels. The role of
optical channels lies in disposing long-distance traffic to lighten off the load of the electronic sub-network and reduce the buffering energy induced by conflicts.
From the constructive point of view, the spectrometer consists of a body 1, figure 1, inside which a miniature spectrometer is placed, which at its turn is comprised by a collecting lens 2, an optical collimating lens 3, a diffraction network 4, an optical mirror of total reflection 5, a Diode-Array detector 6, an USB-type interface 7, a laser telemeter 9, an
optical channel made by a video camera 16.
The result in Figure 8 presented the comparison of the four schemes in terms of electrical energy efficiency for the system providing 1.5 bits/s/Hz and bit rate of 145 Mb/s over diffused
optical channel. As the simulation result shows, to achieve a BER of [10.sup.-5] over multipath channel having delay spread of 10 and 20 ns, respectively, the proposed STACO-OFDM delivers electrical energy savings of about 1.7 and 1.6 dB compared to ACO-OFDM, about 4.8 and 5.5 dB electrical energy savings compared to DCO-OFDM, and about 1.2 and 1.6 dB electrical energy savings compared to eU-OFDM.
A fast FEC assignment method is proposed based on the fundamental principle that bits with higher priority should be given more parity to prevent the bit error in
optical channel. To reach a much simpler way of FEC parity allocation, Stage 2 that aims to assign parity among different video information subsets is the key part to be developed.
WDM provides transmission of high bitrate optical signals and dense
optical channel spacing to increase the data transmission capacity [1].
Its network control processor and power board support 1+1 backup; it supports access at any rate from 100Mb/s to 4.25Gb/s; it enables aggregation of 4~22 services and upgrade to one
optical channel; it supports L2 switching with complete OAM function and 1588 V2 time synchronisation; and it can support up to 8 wavelengths of CWDM 10G transmission.
As an example, a single
optical channel operating at 10 Gb/s can transport a thousand HDTV signals simultaneously.
For counting and differentiation of leukocytes, the CD uses a multiangle polarization scatter separation technology in the
optical channel [white blood cell optical count (WOC)], combined with a second channel with impedance count (white blood cell impedance count).
These properties are the optical phase shift [Delta][Phi] introduced between the optical waves maps directly into an equivalent RF phase shift [Delta][Phi] at the detector; the resulting RF signal is independent of the optical wavelength, only a difference frequency between two optical beams must be maintained; and the
optical channel length sensitivity depends on a microwave wavelength, not an optical one.
