When ultrasound guided procedures are performed, the ultrasound
transducer can potentially become contaminated by a range of agents and facilitate the transmission of organisms to the patient.
The graph shows that the IR melt temperature is significantly higher than the
transducer temperature.
"
Transducer drums have typically been made out of rigid silicon materials that require costly, environment-controlled manufacturing processes, and this has hampered their use in ultrasound," said study lead author Carlos Gerardo, a PhD candidate in electrical and computer engineering at UBC.
Pursuant to an agreement, the company acquired International
Transducer Corp (ITC) from Channel Technologies Group LLC (CTG).
Figure 3 shows a picture of some of the monolithic 250 kHz air coupled
transducers and the 450 kHz sectorized 8-elements
transducer.
Reciprocity calibration cannot provide the ratio of Ti and R of the reference
transducer, required in equation (3) or (3a) expressing the receiving sensitivity, [R.sub.2].
Micromachined
transducer systems such as CMUTs overcome the fabrication limitations of bulk piezoelectric-based
transducers.
Bolt-in Ultrasonic Submersible
Transducers units are designed for use in new systems and retrofitting into existing systems to give you the benefits of ultrasonic capability.
