The relentless cold front powered into its sixth day Wednesday with a fast-moving, freezing storm that dumped a thin layer of the white stuff over a number of Southland communities -- some that haven't seen it for decades. The warm conveyor belt lies on the warm side of the cold front and brings tropical maritime air northward into the storm where it overruns the warm front, leading to intense precipitation. With the cold front coming in for the weekend and really no snow forecast for here, we will start putting 28-0-4 on Monday morning (2/20) on wheat. |
