Researchers from the UC Davis Centre for Mind and Brain have found that children with a history of diabetic ketoacidosis perform worse on memory tests.
This edition describes critical care and emergency approaches to nursing in such situations as anaphylaxis, traumatic brain injury, heart failure, gastrointestinal bleeding, diabetic ketoacidosis, burns, and multi-organ dysfunction syndrome.
On the other hand, if it gets too high, you can develop diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), which needs emergency hospital treatment and can lead to a coma.
