While Singapore infocomm company NCS is working with the government of Oman to develop the Ubar Portal, a service delivery portal that will connect the citizens and government of Oman, e-Cop
has signed an MoU with ITA to establish a national Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) for the Oman Government.
Mohammed Nasser Al Khusaibi, secretary-general, Ministry of National Economy and chairman of ITA, signed the contract on behalf of ITA along with Noel Hon, chairman representing E-COP.
Through this contract, E-COP will establish and operate the National CERT of Oman and transfer knowledge to the Omani team over the next 20 months.
e-Cop operates and maintains several Security Operations Centres (SOC) around the world, all of which are ISO/IEC 27001 certified and powered by its highly advanced, award-winning security event correlation technology developed internally by its R&D team.
Encentuate worked with e-Cop, a trusted partner for information security services, on the deal.
Encentuate and e-Cop stood out from the pack and they are committed to helping us meet our objectives," said Loh Wei Lee of AXA.
Implementation will require no changes to AXA's existing infrastructure or complex integration, enabling e-Cop and Encentuate to deploy the solution quickly with minimal burden on IT.
