Intracranial hemorrhage and doming of the head due to ventricular edema was very common among embryos exposed to either preparation (85% of OGE-exposed embryos in one experiment, n = 66) and most often involved the mesencephalon/third ventricle and hindbrain/fourth ventricle (Figure 4H).
There was no intracranial hemorrhage or hydrocephalus.
The finding of substantial reductions in second heart attacks without significant increases in intracranial hemorrhage provides a significant step forward in patient care.
