Byline: ANI Washington, Oct 27 (ANI): A new study has shown that implantation of blue light-filtering intraocular lens (IOLs) at the time of cataract surgery increases a nutritional component of the eye, which may offer protection against the development or progression of age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
Depending on whether you are interested in a single-vision or multivision Intraocular lens, you will need different approaches to finding a eye surgeon who specialises in cataract operation.
This allows for the direct implantation of an intraocular lens into the lens capsule.
