Tokyo, Japan, June 13, 2006 - (JCN) - Canon Staar, an affiliate of Canon Marketing Japan, announced on June 13 that it and NIDEK have succeeded in commercializing Acrylic Preset IOL System, an acrylic intraocular lens (IOL) system for treating cataract.
Staar made its name in the early 1990s by marketing the first foldable intraocular lens (IOL) for cataract surgery.
Rather, he's an eye surgeon, internationally recognized as an authority on cataract extractions, who's performed more cataract and intraocular lens implant surgeries than anyone else in the world.
