Shakira Adibekova, Deputy Director of the Kazakhstan Tourist Association (KTA), spoke about the high level of cooperation between Kazakhstan and India in the tourism sector, and how over the last decade, the KTA has been actively promoting the hotel and tourism industry. The KTA represents the first in a series of co-ordinated joint projects bringing Government and private funding into the region. Tom Norman, of KTA, said the planned superstore jeopardised the town's bonhomie. |
