Robert Bradley, an obstetrician at the University of Minnesota, published Husband-Coached Childbirth in 1965. She is on the advisory committee for the master's degree program in genetic counseling at California State University, Northridge, is a fellow consultant at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is active in several professional associations and societies. Recently the Minister for Health, Tony Abbott, announced a Medicare rebate for the provision of antenatal services provided in rural and remote areas by nurses, midwives and Aboriginal health workers under the direction of a medical practitioner or obstetrician. |
