The aim of this note is to examine how to address the threat of CBRN terrorism in a theatre of operations and the lessons that can be learned from these experiences. Set in the Pacific Theatre of Operations from 1941-1943, players will assume the role of Marine recruit Tommy Conlin as he survives the attack on Pearl Harbor, leads the assault on Guadalcanal and finally charges up the beaches for the climactic battle at Tarawa. Since all three component capabilities are mission critical, the reader need only rotate the image in Figure-1 a quarter-turn clockwise to expose the true nature of the multicomponent profile being committed to the Afghan theatre of operations. |
