Thermogravimetry (TG) according to DIN 51006 or ASTM E 1131 has established itself as an important physical analytical method in the rubber testing laboratory (refs. The melting and vaporization of the 1223 phase have been investigated using a combination of dynamic methods (differential thermal analysis, thermogravimetry, and effusion) and post-quenching characterization techniques (scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive x-ray spectrometry, and powder x-ray diffaction) (126). Similarly, evolved gas analysis and then thermogravimetry and dynamic scanning calorimetry is proving very useful in antioxidant loss studies. |
