In fact, the infamous period of 1858 in London known as ''The Great Stink'' was one of the driving forces behind the modern rise of proper waste management systems. Various eco-friendly measures such as production of manure from tree leaves, rainwater harvesting system, solar panels, a bio gas plant, and a solid waste management system are part of the project. After the collapse of the waste management system since the end of the Soviet Union, we have had significant difficulties, especially because of shortage of waste removal equipment, and the confusion in the billing system. |
