For the mother/son and father/daughter comparisons, there were no significant differences on the total AATABS score or on any of the subscales.
Using the extreme score criterion described above, mothers and fathers were classified as Type A or Type B on the AATABS. For these criterial groups, the FES scale scores of their daughters and sons were first compared using the MANOVA procedure for overall effect of parents' TABP on the adolescents' perception of the family.
