As part of ADSW there will be held several independent forums, like the 8th World Future Energy Summit (WFES), the 3rd International Water Summit (IWS), the Abu Dhabi International Renewable Energy Conference (ADIREC) and the 2nd International waste management exhibition entitled "EcoWASTE-2014".
Taking place from Jan 17-24, 2015, ADSW is anticipated to attract over 32,000 attendees from 170 nations.
Taking place every January, ADSW comprises of the World Future Energy Summit, International Water Summit and EcoWaste, as well as the general assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).

The opening ceremony of ADSW will take place on January 15 alongside the sixth World Future Energy Summit, the fifth International Renewable Energy Conference and inaugural International Water Summit.
The events which will be held during ADSW include: the Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA); the World Future Energy Summit (WFES); the International Renewable Energy Conference in Abu Dhabi (ADIREC); the International Water Summit (IWS); and the Awards Ceremony for the Zayed Future Energy Prize.
Reserve SELRES (Selective Reserve), FTS (Full-Time Support/TAR), IRR (Individual Ready Reserve) and ADSW (Active Duty for Special Work) Sailors are not eligible for AIP at this time.
ADSW will also showcase wines from California (including Atlas Peak Sangiovese and Napa Valley Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot), Spain (Rioja brand Marques de Arienzo) and Argentina (Bodega Balbi).
