Amtrak will soon say goodbye to the venerable AEM-7 electric locomotives that have carried passengers between Washington, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Harrisburg and everywhere in between for 37 years and over 220 million miles.
The AEM-7 excursion train will depart from Washington Union Station en route to Philadelphia, where the train will reverse direction and head for a unique visit and tour of Wilmington Shops in Delaware, the maintenance home of the AEM-7.
