It is a legal requirement to inform your local Animal Health Divisional Office (AHDO) of Defra of any such incidents, although you will probably do this through your own vet who can then carry out any testing required under the instruction of the AHDO.
A Defra spokesman said: "Herd owners affected by TB restrictions should get in contact with their local Animal Health Divisional Office (AHDO) if they wish to move cattle into their herds.
"All movements of cattle on to and off premises under TB restrictions continue to require licenses issued by AHDOs. It is up to farmers wishing to move cattle on to their herd to apply to their AHDO for necessary licences, to identify the herd from which they wish to bring on cattle and to be clear about its current TB status.
